Hi all,
Vittorio Barabino and Bert Altenburg just released MacScripter's Magazine
no. 4. Here's what their summary:
In the first two chapters properties and droplets are discussed.
The second half is dedicated to the Regex osax by Leonard Rosenthol.
The fourth issue comes with a big bonus: the Muncher. It is an interface for
AppleScript. Just drag a text onto this helplet and the text is processed
automatically. The (fully functional) demo of the Muncher in the magazine
will
- remove HTML tags from an HTML document and count the number of hyperlinks,
and
- extract e-mail and Web addresses from a text.
With a helplet on your desktop, you can be much more productive!
For BBEdit users familiar with grep, there is a BBEdit version of the
Muncher, which is even more powerful. Plus, there is no 32 k text limitation
(as with the Muncher). It could well change the way you work with BBEdit.
