I don't have the earlier versions of Tex-Edit Plus.
tell window "untitled 1" of application "Tex-Edit Plus" to strip line
endings removing crlf
works well for me, chaning crlf to cr. Perhaps in some version of Tex-Edit
it doesn't work
but there's also
tell window "untitled 1" of application "Tex-Edit Plus" to replace looking
for ASCII character (10) replacing with ""
As usual, watch the line breaks.
