I hear such good things about Akua Sweets, and I need a new way to control
the interfaces of some of my scripts, so I'm trying:
tell application "Finder"
display selector for folder from (path to system folder) with prompt "Pick a
folder"
end tell
which I though would generate a "choose folder" type dialog starting in the
system folder. OMM (G4, OS9.0.4) I get what I'd describe as a "save-as"
dialog where one can only open a folder, not choose one. Furthermore, the
"from" parameter seems to have no effect at all... the starting position is
not affected.
Am I misunderstanding what this command is supposed to do or am I using it
incorrectly?
