There is a note (nov 22, 2000) on
http://www.applescriptsourcebook.com/events/2000.html site that notes
that someone has provided a means to script terminal but here is the URL
http://www.autographsystems.com/Wilcox/Applescript/ShellScriptor001d1.sit
to the software itself. I do not know if it works with release, but was
supposed to work with beta.

There is also a note on a telnet scriptable app on this site also.
"Peter Lewis's Interarchy 4.0, the scriptable and recordable successor
to Anarchy, a long-time favorite ftp client, adds skin support and many
new features. It includes a Telnet daemon, which allows for remote
execution of AppleScript commands."
