Scripting network settings for OS X

Hi People,

I'm trying to find a way to script the Network settings in OS X. The idea is produce something distributable for customers to set their systems up to dial into the ISP registration server. Ideally of course it would afterwards take the downloaded config file and set the computer up with the new user settings like the Intenet Setup assistant did in Mac OS 8-9, but that's for later. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to get the initial settings into the machine so it will go to the registration server...

System Preferences is not scriptable, Terminal is not scriptable, and there doesn't seem to be a way to execute a shell command from AppleScript. Anybody got any ideas?

Peter
