I totally agree here.This would not only cause instability in your system
it could very well be difficult for a regular user to track down.

No, I don't think Apple is open sourcing AppleScript but I do believe they
do make information available for creating Applet Shells that allow
developers to create applets that do behave quite differently from the
standard Applet. This is a potential that's been there but has been
unexploited since AppleScript's first introduction.
