Oh ye of little faith! This particular bug was fixed in AppleScript
1.5.5.

What version of Mac OS does AppleScript 1.5.5 ship with by default? If it
isn't until 9.x, then a large percentage of people won't be affected by the
fix, and we should probably still warn of the danger when posting about
"info for" on this list.

AppleScript 1.5.5 came with Mac OS 9.1, and has been superseded by AppleScript 1.6 (available via software update; it also comes with Mac OS X 10.0.) So yes, anyone who isn't fully up-to-date will still see the problem.
