Xandra,
I can't offer an explanation to your specific problem, but I wanted
to say that I had a number of AS problems which disappeared when I
upgraded from 8.5.1 to 8.6. In the view of some, including me, 8.6
was the most stable and least problematic of all MAC OS versions. It
is a free upgrade.
Just something to consider if all else fails.
Regards,
Richard Hartman
I've been trying (in vain) to use RegEx on my PPC9500 machine (OS 8.51).
ALL commands result in an error message..
"xywhatever" dosen't understand the RECompare/REAnything message
I've tried: running with only MacOS inits..disabling restarting w/out 3rd
party OSAXen
I thought perhaps, something was shaky on my boot drive, so I clean
installed OS8.5.1 on a second drive, added RegEx (with only Apple's
OSAXen) and got the same result.
The only things in common on both drives that I can think of: Conflict
Catcher, both drives are pretty seriously fragmented. At first I
suspected CC but RegEx runs fine on my iMac (OS9.04) which also uses
ConflictCatcher.
Any ideas?? The read me doesn't indicate any conflict with OS 8.5.1.
Is anyone aware of any conflicts (OSAXen, Inits, other) with RegEx?
