Intellimouse update

Well, I got the new Intellimouse Explorer from Microsoft today; I
reported the problem to them on Tuesday, and they shipped it
second-day-air on Wednesday.

First thing I did was compare the product numbers of the old and new
mice; they are completely different.

I then reinstalled the software, and restarted the computer, plugging in
the new mouse during the restart.

Everything has been working fine for the past three or four hours, so I
think the problem is fixed.

I think I may disasemble the old mouse, just to see what's inside it.
