I hope that this helps.

--the variable custName has already been filled with the text of the
--customer's name. You can tell Quark to make that text any font. Here I
--am putting the text into an existing box on an existing document.
--Watch for line wraps


tell Application "QuarkXPress 4.11"
activate
make new text at beginning of text box 1 of spread 1 of
document 1 with properties {contents:custName, size:18,
font:"AGaramond"}
end tell
