Hi All,
Vittorio and I are happy to announce that the Spring 2001 Issue of
MacScripter's Magazine is available!
The 5th issue of the on-going AppleScript tutorial series MacScripter's
Magazine dedicates the first chapter to the date and time object and
demonstrates the different data types within a date string, performing
comparisons, using Tanaka's OSAX for easier manipulation of data, and
working with date and time data in lists and Filemaker Pro.
After that, the Magazine shows you how to script an e-mail program and store
e-mail messages inside a database. The combination of the Magazine's
interactive multimedia format and AppleScript gives the reader the option to
display his or her own familiar (e-mail) data inside the magazine. The
examples in the Magazine make use of Outlook Express and Filemaker Pro, but
scripts are provided for AppleWorks and several other e-mail clients.
