'original item' broken

Hi all,

'original item' is broken, at least in 8.6/9.1 (plus Satimage & Dialog Director, that's all)
When the original item is on the desktop, and if there are several disks, the path will always lead to the system folder desktop.

Ie:
- two disks, 'MySystem', 'MyDocs'
- file 'text' in desktop folder of 'MyDocs'
- alias 'ThisAlias' to 'text'.

tell application "Finder" to get original item of item "ThisAlias"
-- file "text" of application "Finder"

Ok, but what is the actual path?

tell application "Finder" to get "" & original item of item "ThisAlias"
-- "MySystem:Desktop Folder:text"

No, it should be "MyDocs:Desktop Folder:text"!

I've tried several workarounds but it seems broken beyond repair.
Is this a know bug, was it fixed?

Serge
