Maybe AppleScript Studio will offer this?

AppleScript in Mac OS X 10.1 lets you send XML-RPC or SOAP requests to other servers, but doesn't have any support for receiving them. Studio isn't going to help you here, since the necessary bits would have to be well below that level. (OK, theoretically you could write some C code to do it and roll that into your Studio app somehow, but that probably wasn't what you had in mind.)

This is on our List Of Things To Do, but don't expect it any time real soon.
