running 'mount volume' on iBook

A script I have written to mount a remote volume works just fine on
my PowerBook G4 but when I run it on an iBook it returns no errors but
the volume is not mounted (does not appear on the desktop). Is the
script
not finding the Chooser?
Any suggestions would be appreciated by a new-Newbie to Applescripting
