Not sure why I bothered with all that. We can reduce thisby deleting
those two statements, and simply inserting thethird line below (as the
third statement of the script):

global subField> set subField to ""set base to "applescript-users "
Much better. :-)
Btw, tested from Eudora's "script" menu (Special menuwith OSA Plug-in
installed), and it seems to work fine.
