Hate to prolong this, but what's so difficult about the following:
As I said, I don't remember just what I was doing. All I know is I ran into
discrepancies between the dictionary and the actual implementation,
discrepancies which you have already agreed were introduced by Palm when
they took over the program from Claris and changed the name from Claris
Organizer to Palm Desktop. I'm sure that many of the terms shown when you
"open dictionary" actually exist as documented, but not all of them do. If
you or anyone would care to document those <discrepancies>--for a
hypothetical instance (I don't know the actual terms), "Dictionary term:
memo, Actual term: note"--it would probably end my, and Paul's, distaste for
the scripting implementation, or at least subdue it. To end it, Palm should
change the darn dictionary so it is accurate! Is that such a big thing to
ask, or unreasonable?
I think that Paul and I find it distasteful largely because the dictionary
is inaccurate. It needlessly confuses people and wastes untold amounts of
time for anyone trying to learn to script Palm Desktop. Fix that, and all
would be well.
