iTunes 2, Scriptability and OS 9.1

The iTunes dictionary won't show up in Script Editor on OS 9.1, but it's still scriptable in OS 9.1, even with very old versions of Script Editor. I'm not 100% sure about the reason for the dictionray not showing, but it may be as subtle as this. Up to this point, in scriptable applications the resource that holds the AppleScript dictionary is the "aete" resource (and case matters). In iTunes 2 the AppleScript dictionary is in an "AETE" resource, and there is no "aete" resource.

I suspect that versions of Script Editor prior to the one shipping with 9.2.1 do not look for an "AETE" resource and when they don't find the "aete" resource they assume that there's no dictionary. If this is not the right reason, maybe Chris will correct me.

Fortunately all of the third party editors are smarter than that. Scripter, Script Debugger, and Smile all open the "AETE" and present a dictionary.
