That's probably not the best task to show a PC-centric audience. Files in
Windows already have the suffix. Showing them how to add it on a Macintosh
is not something they would see as relevant. How about showing them
something that would use the dictionaries of several applications, maybe
FileMaker, Finder, Graphic Converter, URL Access Scripting, email client (of
your choice) and browser. Now that is something that would be difficult on
Windows.
