Giving more memory to folder action

Hello Everybody !

I am running a folder script to sort DCS 1 EPS files outputed by QuarkXPress
based on Apple basic folder action examples supplied with OS 8.6. Since this
is a shared folder I am adjusting script parameters accordingly. This slows
down the process to make sure the file are copied before the actual sorting
takes place.

Once in a while when there is more than 80 files the action folder process
will fail with error message: folder action out of memory - my own
translation from French. How can I allocate more memory to this process
which is running from a system extension. I searched through the resources,
but could not find related fields.

Is there a better hot folder script that would outperform Apple's example?
Can I assigned more memory to this process?
