In response to Brian's problem reported below I've confirmed the following
fix: delete the file ToastVideoCDSupport (part of Toast 5.1P2) from this
directory:
/Library/QuickTime folder
I have no idea what the interaction is here, but removing it fixes the
problem.
I am unable to run Applescript Applets on my 10.1 installation. I discovered
this while trying to download Apple's Toolbar Applets. All applets "Quit
Unexpectedly." If I open the applet via the Script Editor and run the
script, it runs without a problem.

Don't know if that is your problem, but at least you know you have company!
That actually worked, almost like an extension conflict, I thought we
were through with those!
