Unstable OSAXEN?

I've got a nice toybox of OSAXEN that I play with all the time (Tanaka's
OSAX, Jon's Commands, and ACME Script Widgets are among my favorites). I was
exploring recently and found -Akua Sweets and Kamprath's Text Utilities,
among others, which offer a lot of potential for me to improve on some
existing scripts.
My iBook (running OS 9.1), however, has been exceedingly temperamental when
I've tried to employ either of these OSAXEN. Script Editor crashes and takes
the machine down with it when I do seemingly simple stuff with these OSAXEN
in it.
Are there known conflicts with these scripting additions and some of the
others I'm running? Here's a list of the contents of my Scripting Additions
folder:
{"AppleScript Formatting", "Desktop Printer Manager", "Dialects",
"FileSharing Commands", "Jon9s Commands", "Keyboard Addition", "Keychain
Scripting", "MonitorDepth", "Network Setup Scripting", "range box import",
"Remote Access Commands", "Satimage", "Sound Scripting", "Speech Listener",
"Standard Additions", "Tanaka's osax", "URL Access Scripting", "7Akua
Sweets", "Kamprath's Text Utilities", "Sdndi's Additions", "ACME Script
Widgets 2.5.2"}
