QT export scripts

Hello,

I am new to applescript and would like to write an export script for
quicktime that allows me to set dimensions, audio rate, frame rate, codec,
etc. I was hoping that one of the many scripts that come with the QT script
package would handle this... actually there are a number of things that I
would like this script to do:

1) encode a DV clip to 320x240 sorenson 3 at 1 - 1.5 Mbps with 16/44.1 ima
4:1 compressed audio

2) ftp the result

another way to handle the encoding specs would be to just have the script
use "most recent settings" in the qt settings present pulldown. this may be
more versatile and easy to use.

In os9 I may have just used Transmit's watch folder ftp script. is this
still a good method in 9? is there a better methode in X?

thank you,
chris
