Certainly both are built to use it. I have the latest Eudora, 5.1,

A common function that someone referred to doing in OneClick (a macro
based scripting facility) on that list recently was to have a button
that dealt effectively with spam, by parsing through the message for
domains it had passed through, and forwarding warnings with full headers
to postmaster at each of them, and another copy to some spam fighting
facility.
I haven't tried scripting palm desktop, but if it's scriptable, it
should be easy enough to write a script that takes the text of a mail
message and puts it into palm desktop under an appropriate heading based
on the From or To: addresses of the email.
I'm currently using applescript to print out emails that represent
business cards and put their text in a text file that can be used to
layout the card according to a template with Xdata in QuarkXpress --
when I get some time, I'm planning to completely automate that process,
so that someone can send an order -- and if I have the template and
script config made up -- I run the script and a finished Quark file is
created according to the order. Better yet, in principle, I can run a
script that selects the appropriate template and order form parser based
on looking the headers for the job info (assuming I can get my customers
to use one of a few standard header formats).
What you can do with any app is limited only by it's scripting support
and the power of you imagination.

I have already been directed towards.
You will find that AS is useful to solve any very repetitive tasks that
you do on your mac. If you're purely a home user, and not a real
computer enthusiast, there may not be all that many such tasks. If
you're an enthusiast or a business user it's hard to believe that AS (or
some other scripting system) wouldn't be worth learning.

Are there any other forums about Palms desktop software in particular?
I'd feel free to ask questions about scripting Palm Desktop here if you
can't answer them with reference to manuals, dictionary and some trial
and error.
