Well, I noticed this the first time I used Script Editor, and I do not have
two monitors. What I had done was change the screen resolution from the
default (1260 X 1024) to 1024 X 768, before I'd even launched it for the
first time (my eyes ain't so young anymore :-). When I started switching
resolutions with Script Editor running, I got what appeared to be a portion
of a window, but highly elongated vertically; it was not selectable. I then
quit SE and started it up again, and the Result Window was now visible.

But that's not the only oddity on my system, so I don't know as it's
actually a bug.
