If you're talking about the Hot Function Keys that you select from the
Keyboard Control Panel, if you save the script as an applet you can
assign it to one of the fifteen function keys. Clicking the key fires
off the script. You can assign any application or document to a
function key.

If you're using OSA Menu you can assign keyboard combinations to scripts
in the menu.

AppleScript doesn't provide any internal mechanism for keyboard shortcuts.
