Relinquishing Control to Eudora

  • Subject: Relinquishing Control to Eudora

Hi Everyone,

I have a problem with my script in that it will not relinquish control to another application or the Finder until the scripts is either complete or until a timeout occurs. For instance, I have a script that directs Eudora to send an email. The script leaves Eudora in the background, ie.does NOT bring Eudora to the foreground . Sometimes Eudora hits a problem and needs to get user input. A dialog is displayed (by Eudora - I think) that says that 'Eudora needs your help' (or some such message). The script is then hung waiting for Eudora to reply and Eudora is hung waiting for the user to activate it and enter data. The problem is that I can not activate Eudora (or anything else, including the Finder) to enter the data UNTIL the script times out.

Is there anyway of telling the script to relinquish control under these circumstances?

Thanks in advance for any help given.
