A few minutes ago I came across a strange behaviour... I ran a script
which uses the StuffIt commands scripting addition to uudecode some
downloaded files using the following command in a repeat loop going
through a list of files:
Expand comprFile as alias with deleting originals and showing progress
All of a sudden I get a dialog stating that the Internet Preferences
file is irreparably damaged and has been moved to the Trash. And the
file was corrupted indeed. When I have used the Stuffit Expander
application instead of the Stuffit commands, no such symptoms have
occurred. Does anyone know, whether the Stuffit commands is somehow
responsible?
I am running MacOS Z1-9.2.1, Stuffit commands 5.5 and Stuffit Expander 6.0.1.
On a perhaps unrelated note, it seems that the "deleting originals"
does not work. Anyone have any insights on that as well?
Best regards,
