I'm trying to make a script to convert a folder to a self-mounting-image, and am having real trouble.
I can create a disk image (an empty one)
I can convert a disk image to a .SMI
The problem is getting the files over to the image after it is created.
There's a 'save' command in DiskCopy, which looks like it should do the right thing, but I can't get it to work and can't find any docs anywhere.
When I tried using the Finder I had some trouble, but got it working. I'd rather not use the Finder though, if at all possible.
Assistance please!
Strangely, along the way I tried recording the action, and I'm getting
copy selection to disk "mountedImage"
What???? According to the dictionary, 'copy' is something to do with the clipboard, or to do with making duplicates of data. I thought 'duplicate' was the appropriate terminology here.
Also, I keep coming up against references to 'DiskScripts' in relation to disk images, which are apparently something unrelated to Applescripts, but might be useful to me. Where can I find information about these puppies?
