Thanks to everyone for the help with my passing a variable from a webpage
to an AppleScript project. Indeed the answer is "use a CGI" and after a
bit of study I've figured out how to do it.

In case you're wondering, Personal Web Sharing works fine for my needs on
this (so far). In case you're still wondering, I'm using the scripts as
part of a web-based interface to control my house lights and stereo. The
page will fit on an "Audrey" internet appliance and those will be
scattered about the house like throw pillows so I can adjust things to my
liking from anywhere.

Thanks again.
