Appleworks

I have reached the decision that Apple in all their wierd priorities does not
provide support for scripting their own products, namely Appleworks. Appleworks
was almost impossible to script before but with Appleworks 6 it is even more
unpredictable.
Unlike BBedit which is completely recordable and scriptable and even the enemy
Microsoft Word which is also scriptable and I think recordable.
Why does ASpple push Applescript but neglect to apply it to it's own software?
Strange! Suicidal maybe.
I have been trying to write a script to automate find and replace on several
files. This is a piece of cake in BBedit but in Appleworks it is no go, or if it
is it will be a script about 20 times larger than the bbedit script.

Such is life. Thanks Apple.
