Folder actions, by their very nature, are permanently attached to their host
folder. (An invisible file placed in the folder when an action is attached
points to the script, which can live anywhere on your system - although the
folder may lose track of it if you change it's location.)

Remember also that the folder has to be open when a file arrives in it,
unless you have Eric Grant's Folder Actions Plus extension. (Making the open
folder into a popup tab keeps it out of the way - in pre OSX systems, at
least...)

If you have correctly attached the script, and the folder is open, the
script should run every time an item of the type specified in your script is
dropped, saved or otherwise delivered into the folder.

Post your script here for further advice if you don't get it sorted.
