A few things that have changed since then:
* Apple (hooray!)
* Japan actually helped prop up the ailing US dollar, not once but
several times
* Airbus, headquartered in France, sells aircraft to many airlines,
including U.S. owned ones.
* The Canadian dollar then was worth MORE than the American dollar.
* Toronto was a much, much prettier city then than it is today. <sigh>
Some facts are wrong, the references dated, and many people reading this
now couldn't read then (or were not born).
