Don't know what posessed me to do this.
Following the unspeakable events in the US, there was an upswell of reaction
in lists & forums that I subscribe to. While all the usual pundits were
being wheeled out in the media, here was another set of voices. The rest of
us. And what was being said here seemed just as valid and varied and
eloquent as anything Norman Mailer or Gore Vidal or Tony Blair or Colin
Powell had to offer. So I was, er, inspired to celebrate this by posting a
selection of your comments on my web site. I have not appended names to the
quotes, but I have indicated the country of origin.
I hope nobody minds.
