I do no know how applescript stores "passwords" - but I imagine as clear
text: they are not passwords to AppleScript, just text variables.

If you/they are really worried about passwords, why not store the password
in the Keychain instead of In the script. Keychains are exportable between
machines and I have not heard of a successful crack.
