Thanks Beam. It's nice when someone finally answers a question. Ya,
scripts with properties.

I'm amazed. I'm now passing "the application" as an argument and it appears
to work 50% of the time. Without the parameter, I get errors 100% of the
time.

The applet needs to persist because it creates new configs, saves the
current ones, switches to them, does a transaction, switches back and then
quits. I am initiating some of these calls from director and then celling
back using ZScript.

I'm using the "applescript output" applet as a director style message window
to provide debug output at certain points in the code.

I'll try to send you a copy of the script tomorrow.
