In a word, er, no.

The Guidebook Modules downlaodable from:

<http://www.apple.com/applescript/>

go some way to update information but if you want to be fully armed to start
AppleScripting, try Danny Goodman's "AppleScipt Handbook" and O'Reilly's
"AppleScript in a Nutshell".

Also, as you've been watching this list for a couple of weeks, you'll realise how
important it is in grasping the real aspects of AS. It's kinda fun, too (and
friendly and helpful).
