I've seen this recently on a couple of mailing lists and I have to say, it
is the stupidest idea I have ever heard of. One list I was on I NEVER set
a password, and the password that ws sent to me was certainly not anything
I would have ever used. Where it came from I have no idea.
I have never set or received a password for this list either.
I think you should be able to unsubscribe without a password.
It merely adds another layer of annoyance. The unsubscribe link should
also be in the footer of the list, since so many mailers hide the headers.
