It's lacking a date, so I don't know how old this message is.
The two MacWorlds are January and July 2001, IIRC.
As far as FaceSpan vs. whatever AS Studio will be, I am less concerned about being able to put controls on a dialog and show the dialog (== Dialog Director) than being able to have as much control over the windows while they're displayed as you have in the current FaceSpan. FS's script hierarchy and object interactivity are two big reasons why I've used it as much as I have.
