Mac OS 9.x allows users to Control + Click on a Package to Show it's
contents.
Question:
Can AppleScript / scriptabel Finder be used to
1_Show the contents of a selected package
2_perform a series of scripted steps
3_Hide the contents of the selected package in (1)
Item 2 is dead simple
Items 1 and 3 have me stumped as I can't seem to find the logical syntax to
make it work
Can it be done ?
If so any insights as to a general 'direction' would be appreciated.
I've looked into the various online resources from Apple's PDF files, to
Help and have reviewed all AppleScript GuideBooks (all of which have been
very helpful over the years...) but this one has me stumped.
BTW, the AppleScript GuideBooks are possibly the most overlooked source of
excellent reference info... I'd suggest Apple put a link to the Guidebooks
page right in the Mac OS Help or AppleScript help menu ... sure wud save a
lot of pain and suffering when climbing the learning curve.
