Because Script Editor (through AppleScript 1.6), when saving a "Classic
Applet" ("Classic" added a few System versions ago), it saves a small 68K
application...not PowerPC or "Fat". There are as yet no Macintosh machines
which can't run 68K code; there are some which can't run PPC code. And the
real work isn't done in the small application anyhow.
