This all seemed so easy, that I had to try it out. Here are the results OMM
(PM7300 180 running OS 8.5.1 AS 1.3.4 Carbon Lib 1.0.4) and I apologize if
I'm being a pain.

Tried that. First ran from Script Editor telling app "Finder" resulted in a
display of a blank (gray) dialog (file Selector?) and a hang. I had to force
quit the finder to get out of it.
Second, (still telling Finder) but adding activate and saved as applet, on
run resulted in proper display of file selector (BMP, JPEG, ETC.) but all
formats tried returned an notification of "Parameter error". :-(

With this one I had Finder set the front window bounds in the variable
myBounds. Saved as an applet. After a lot of "Out of memory errors" and
upping the requirements (finally at 12000k :-), I was able to get it to save
as a tiff image.
Hmmm?
Unfortunately I do not know enough about AKUA and although I tried,
unsuccessfully, to add other parameters, and I did check-out some of the
examples that were provided with the scripts package but found nothing so
far, I'm not sure what I'm missing.
Are the examples you provided supposed to take screenshots?
Should it work with the Finder?
I would be most appreciative for your kind reply.
Thanks much in advance.

PS. Is there any other documention on AKUA Sweets besides the HTML work
included with the install? As someone who is NOT a programmer should I even
be playing around with this osax? I certainly don't want to mess-up anything
on my machine. (and please... no snickering folks :-)
