AppleScript Enigma

Hello, there.

I've programmed a bunch of applets with AppleScript 1.5 while I was running Mac OS 8.6 and now, running OS 9.x, they're misbehaving: everything works okay when testing from the AppleScript editor, they only misbehave when they're running on their own (triggered from the osa menu or whatever).

For instance, telling the finder to 'set the popup of the front window to not pop up of the front window' does the trick... twice! Whatever the original state, I'm back to where I started.

Also, commands like 'set has custom view settings of the first container window to true' or 'set zoomed of the first container window to true' now yield errors.

I've looked everywhere I could and found nothing on that subject. I've even asked Apple, only to find out they wouldn't support AppleScript problems...

Is there anybody out there who knows the answers to those stupid questions?
