Dear Jeff, dear Stoney
i made the same experience with the cgis and found a pretty nice solution:
Running Mac OS X 10.0.4 or later with WebSTAR V does fine in AS-CGI processing.
The AS-CGI has to be "Vanilla-Script" but it runs much faster as with Mac OS 9 and the bug still does not exist anymore.
I used WebSTAR V Demo that expires on 09-30-2001 :( so there's not plenty of time left to check it out.
Btw. Scripting in Mac OS X is pure fun since there is SD3 and its support for "Editing with BBEdit" using syntax coloring for HTML.
This makes debugging HTML code in AppleScripts much more easy! And i'm sure you'll have HTML code in your script if it's a CGI... ;)

This is a known bug with AS 1.6 (the upgrade beyond AS 1.5.5; AS 1.5.5 comes

The Applescript team knows about the bug. A fix should be included in the

Question for Chris Nebel: will the AS update run on MacOS 9.1, or will it

require MacOS 9.2.1?
