The best way to get a response is to say something that is totally wrong. Then everyone will jump in and correct you. ;)
Otherwise, asking a more specific question is the trick. General questions take too long to answer, and everyone is fairly busy, so things which take short answers are better.
Thus, post a snippet of your script that you are having trouble with, or describe what is keeping you from getting started.
Of course, if it involves scripting Quark, my recommendation is to upgrade to InDesign. ;)
