Paul,
I publish a shareware program called Script Timer that will allow you to
schedule Applescripts. It will run your scripts at any time on a daily,
weekly, weekdays only, monthly, or one time basis as well as at regular
intervals ranging from minutes to weeks. It has an extremely small memory
footprint, and is more user friendly than the traditional Unix tool cron.
(You can also pass parameters to scripts and run compiled scripts as opposed
to applets, which I don't think cron can do.)
If your needs are simple, the trial version may be sufficient. You can get
it at the web site below - just click on the Shareware and Freeware button.
Regards,
Don
