I don't know about Java, but I know that you can make aete resources for
every file wich is not a folder or a disk, as far as every file can contain
any "resource fork".
You can make this resource using the free tool "EightyRez", as well as
ResEdit "aete editor", the homonimous of Resorcerer or the one of
Resurrection, wich is less robust
(http://homepage.mac.com/witness/apps.htm).
Make an 'aete' rsrc is so easy. Open any scriptable application or scripting
addition with one of the related apps and look at it.
