I was playing around with similar things over Easter, oddly enough. Just
want to point out that using VBA and calling procedures from a script
produces similar times for calculations such as Kai was testing but that
when it comes to manipulating XL objects, such as font colour, recalculation
&c then VBA is significantly faster.
I remember from a much earlier thread that the Evaluate statement has
disappeared from the Excel X dictionary? Bugger.
