Is a new version of AppleScript included with this update?
None that I can see, Rob. Everything looks pretty much the same as it did
when I installed 1.8.2b3.
The update itself seems painless. The download is a mere 2.2MB and I was
up and running with 10.1.4 less than five minutes after clicking the
'Install' button in Software Update. (Guess I'd better go and find some
wood to touch now...)
I think it may have 1.8.2 final, which would be a big jump for someone still
using 1.8.1. And may have a number of fixes more than 1.8.2b3. I'm going to
take a good hard look at my various AS files, frameworks, etc. before and
after updating. (It doesn't help, of course, that 1.8.2b3 claims
to be 1.8.2.)
Nope. Nothing got modified. (IMO, this is good news. I know they're trying
to fix as many bugs as they can in both AS 1.8.2 OS X and 9. It will
probably take a little longer to really get it right: much better than
rushing it like 1.7.)
Thanks Paul and Mr. Tea. I've since found the Knowledge Base Document
(#120114) related to the update and it makes no mention of
AppleScript.
