One of the things I find most interesting about Photoshop 7 is that it has some kind of improved support for Applescript.
It's (disappointingly) an optional download, although it is free, and apparently it 'conflicts' with photoscripter, which they tell you to remove. Perhaps it is a beefed up photoscripter.
I know it's early days, but I'd be really interested to hear any first impressions.
