Scripting EIMS over a LAN

  • Subject: Scripting EIMS over a LAN

OK I'm dense ,naive, or both. I haven't done much applescript in a long
time, and never attempted it across a lan. I thought there was a way to
run a script on my OSX box that would allow me to use EIMS scripting
features to control EIMS running on a OS9 box on my lan. I figured that
it would be easy. I have tried by mounting the OS9 volume on my OSX
desktop via appletalk and choosing the EIMS application in my scripts on
OSX. What happens if EIMS on the OS9 box is running is that the script
says "EIMS server got an error application isn't running." If I turn off
EIMS on the OS9 box it appears that my OSX box tries to run it in classic
and the script does interact with it. All very strange to me since I have
never tried this before. Suggestions greatly appreciated.
